“Happy Birthday to Upton Cross Micro Library
Thank you to everyone who has helped make the Micro Library in Upton Cross in the new village hall such a success. The Micro Library is currently ranking as the 3rd busiest (out of 14 micro libraries in Cornwall) which is a huge achievement considering it has only been open for 1 year.
Jo from Cornwall Council continues to visit on a regular basis to answer any queries, refresh stock and collect data, and Jo has been delighted by the positive support and community engagement, especially by the dedicated volunteers who help keep the shelves tidy, liaise with the school and show customers how to join the library and also how easy it is to reserve books.
The library is in a prime position for the community as the village hall evidently occupies an important place in Upton Cross providing a safe, community space where people of all ages access information and books and also provide a diverse range of social activities.”
